On 27 June 2012, Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, launched the High Level Dialogue on the Accession Process with political representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Brussels. In his opening remarks he stressed that the EU has repeatedly underlined that Bosnia and Herzegovina had a clear European Union perspective. The Dialogue as a new initiative is aimed to help Bosnia and Herzegovina to move forward in the accession process by explaining the methodology of EU accession negotiations and by discussing what is expected from a candidate country.
