The European Commission is sincerely sorry and expresses its full solidarity with Italian citizens. We are ready, within our means, to help Italy to deal with the consequences of the natural catastrophe. Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC in charge of Regional Policy, will go to the region Emilia-Romagna, in Italy, on 3 June 2012.
