On 31 May 2012, in presence with Marco Buti, Director-General of DG "Economic and Financial Affairs" of the EC, Mario Monti, Italian Prime Minister and Minister for Economy and Finance ad interim, delivered the Second Annual Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa Lecture,at the 13th Brussels Economic Forum (BEF). On this occasion, he underscored the role of investment and a stronger Single Market as the keys to growth in Europe.
