Martin SCHULZ, President of the European Parliament, Pierre MOSCOVICI former vice-President of the same institution, currently French Finance Minister, met today in Brussels to held a roundtable meeting.
Pierre Moscovici, who was MEP and after vice-President of the European Parliament, has been named France's Finance Minister by Francois Hollande since 16 May 2012. In his new job, he is charged with convincing other European governments to back Hollande’s strategy of shifting the region’s focus to growth from austerity at a time when France's own growth has stalled. He is also very interested by the Greek financial crisis and its relation with the Eurozone. In one of his last interview he said: "We sincerely hope that Greece remains in the eurozone."
