The upcoming G20 summit in Los Cabos in Mexico on the 18-19 June was discussed in Parliament todayat a conference examining the priorities set by the Mexican presidency for the world's top 20 economies, as well as broader economic governance issues at a time of deepening economic crisis.
The conference, chaired by EP vice president Othmar Karas debated the "development of an effective system of checks and balances" for the G-20 and heard about Mexico's summit priorities from Sandra Fuentes-Berain, Mexico's Ambassador to the EU.
