Third and last working day for the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (Africa Caribbean Pacific - European Union) 23rd session in Denmark. Today's were focused on the situation in Nigeria and the challenges and opportunities of urban development in ACP cities. Following the debates on NIgeria and Urban development in ACP, MEPS delivered statements.
The Assembly, the only of its kind in the world, was created for bringing together the elected representatives of the European Community and the representatives of the ACP countries which signed the Cotonou Agreement, an accord with developing countries. The aim of the institution is promote the interdependence of the North and the South, within the values of the human rights and democracy
