She visits villages, she sees her country, she knows whats the people are asking for. So we were very much concentrate of the needs of the country and how the European Union could support the people of the country. 00:03:06 SOUNDBITE (English) by Andris Piebalgs, EU Commissioner responsible for development "I clearly see that even close to the capital there are township where a lot of people are in extreme poverty. And i believe the most important is not just to give handouts but really create opportunities for work and livelihood and exactly what we are doing here it's a small scale. People here are learning and having also some elementary equipment that they could feed themselves at their families. And other part we have seen that our project support drinking water that is a challenge here to clean drinking water and that also related to sanitation. So that demonstrate that a lot could be done in poverty and education in Myanmar but we need to scale up our aid" 00:00:43
