||First part of Mr Karel de GUGHT statement : "On behalf of the European Union, I would sincerely congratulate and welcome the Russian Federation at the WTO. It is a historical occasion, not only for Russia, but also for the EU as a major trading Partner as well as I beleive, the entire WTO membership".
||Part 2 of Mr Karel de GUGHT statement : "By today decision, we are closing one chapter and opening a new one. For Russia as an important partner in this intitution for world economic integration.
EU has high expectations for Russia, as a responsible Partner, ready to respect rules, implements its multi-lateral obligations, and corporate in developping the WTO system together, from the very beginning of its WTO membership. For EU, complition of this 18 years long process, also open new opportunities to deep our bilateral economic relations".
||Part 3 of Mr Karel de GUGHT statement : "Big efforts have been made to align the trade regime of Russia, as well as of its customs union with Kazakhstan and bielorussia to the international standards.
We hope, that from now, until it formaly becomes a member, Russia will not take any trade measures that would be a backword step compare to today’s conditions".
