European Parliament adopted today the recommendation for the appointment of Benoît Coeuré, the French candidate to the Executive Board of the European Central Bank. The vote was held under e-vote procedure. Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs evaluated and proceeded to the hearing of the nominee last monday. The Committee delivered a favourable opinion on the Council recommendation to appoint Benoît Coeuré as a Member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank. Its decision will now be forwarded to the European Council, the Council and the governments of the Member States. 683 voting 566 in favor 67 against 50 abstentions
