After a failed attempt to agree on the EU budget for 2011 last Thursday, the European Parliament and member States are meeting again this Monday to find a last chance agreement on the first budget to be adopted under the new Lisbon Treaty rules. Talks will be in two parts, with a first coordination meeting between European Budget ministers which started around 3:30 pm. Following, there will be a last conciliation meeting with euro MEPs at the European Parliament, which could end late in the night.
