On the second day of the European Council, Heads of State and Government will focus on the follow-up to the Copenhagen Conference, both as regards the international negotiation process and the Union's relations with its strategic partners
EU Leaders will also discuss the European Commission's 2020 strategy for jobs and growth and exchange views on the main issues on the agenda of the forthcoming G20 Summit in Toronto.
On Thursday, countries from Eurozone have agreed on a financial backstop for Greece that will combine bilateral loans from other eurozone governments and the International Monetary Fund, a move aimed at stopping the government debt crisis that has undermined the shared currency.
