On 24 March 2010, the European Union and Montenegro signed an agreement about the participation of Montenegro in EUNAVFOR Somalia - Operation ATALANTA, an operation against piracy and armed robbery off the coasts of Somalia. The decision approving the signing and conclusion of this agreement was adopted during the Foreign Affairs Council, who was held in Brussels on the 22 and 23 March 2010.
