José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, presented its proposals for the Spring Council of EU heads of state and government. In relation with Eurobonds, President Barroso explains that itcould be interesting from an European point of view, but he says very clear that at this moment a large numer of countries are against this idea and it would be not realistic to try to create them at present. Talking about employment, he says that figures are ver worrying as employment could contract by 1.6 this year, what means around 3.5 million jobs, and unemployment could reach 10%. He adds taht it is necessary to use all the existing instruments at European and national level.
