Serbian leaders headed by Boris Tadić, President of Serbia, held a meeting with José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Olli Rehn, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement, at the European Commission in Brussels, on 3 September 2008. They discussed relations between the European Union and Serbia, and the Serbian delegation was supposed to ask for an acceleration of the country's EU integration and the entering into force of the interim agreement with the EU that has been frozen until the achievement of full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. They were also expected to talk about issues relating to peace and stability in Kosovo.
