The EU/Cape Verde Troika met on 27 May 2008 in Brussels to talk about development challenges and to establish a political dialogue on security and fight against illegal traffic. They also analysed the progess made on the "special partnership" approved in December 2007 to strengthen relations and aimed at transforming the donor-beneficiary relationship between the EU and Cap Verde into a framework of mutual interests. They were also expected to discuss an Action Plan on political cooperation, migraton, security and sustainable development, among other issues.
