||General view of the press conference
||José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, (in FRENCH) saying that it is not only a matter of the government taking decisions, and it is clear that at that level there has been important progress; it is also important to see the "track record", that is to say the consolidation of reforms during a period of time on the ground; it is also important to see the implementation of the political and institutional reforms; it is necessary to see how the administrative reform is working; and there has been progress there, but as the Prime Minister has honestly recognised, there are still some difficulties; so it is necessary to continue working on this area

||Sali Berisha, Albanian Prime Minister, (in FRENCH) saying that he has guaranteed José Manuel Barroso that his government will do everything for the consolidation of reforms; on the other side, even if he recognises the legitimacy of the opposition and all the Albanese people to see their country becoming candidate as soon as possible, he thinks that the process must be credible for all the Member States, for the European Commission; and he can't give a date; all he can say is that he will work hard to succeed as soon as possible
||José Manuel Barroso (in ENGLISH) saying that the ambition of a country is not because of asking for a date; it is seen in the results of the reforms; this is the ambition, and there he can say that Albania has shown ambition
||José Manuel Barroso (in ENGLISH) saying that regarding Kosovo, he had the opportunity to thank Sali Berisha and Albania for the constructive role that Albania has played regarding this issue; that is very important for all the Western Balkans and for the future European perspective of all those countries
||Sali Berisha (in ENGLISH) on VISA liberalisation; saying that his country is ready to sign any agreement with the European Union in order to fight organised crime successfully and to meet any requirements for Albanian's to enjoy the free movement like European citizens
