José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, made an official visit to Ireland on 17 and 18 April 2008. On 18 April, he attended a presentation on the Cork Docklands Re-development Programme, in Cork City Hall and visited the Cork Docklands Re-development project. After that, José Manuel Barroso went to the University College Cork where he exchanged views with students and guests.
