With the theme "Greening the Economy: new Energy for Business", the European Business Summit wanted to focus on how Europe can turn the carbon challenge into a business opportunity, giving new energy to growth and jobs. Greening the economy has become a major priority for the EU Member States who are looking for ways to fulfil energy needs and to reduce CO2 emissions. The European Business Summit was organised by BusinessEurope and the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium, in close cooperation with the European Commission and the Slovenian EU Presidency.
