European Day of Healthy Food and Cooking: Euro-toques (ET) and Markos Kyprianou at the European School

On the European Day of Healthy Food and Cooking, four European Chefs gave a cooking show at the European School in Brussels. Bernard Fournier, Member of Euro-Toques France and Secretary General of Euro-Toques International, Henri Charvet, Member of Euro-Toques France and Vice-President of Euro-Toques International, Luciano Tona, from Euro-Toques Italy, and Gunnar Forssell, from Euro-Toques Sweden, taught students from the European School how to cook healthily, showing them different types of food and explaining their characteristics. They cooked several healthy dishes with the participation of the children. Markos Kyprianou, Member of the EC in charge of Health, joined the chefs and children, taking part in this "EU Mini-Chefs" initiative, a collaboration between the European Commission and the European Chef's Association, Euro-Toques International (ETI). On the same day, similar events took place in several Member States. Chefs visited schools to explain the children how to prepare simple but healthy food using local and seasonal products.
