On 19 November 2007, the High Level Expert Group on the Reduction of Administrative Burdens was close to be consituted. The Chairman, Edmund Stoiber, met that day with José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Günter Verheugen, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Enterprise and Industry, to agree on the names of the experts who will be invited to participate in this group. The names will be published as soon as the experts confirm their participation in the group. This initiative aims at reducing administrative burdens for European enterprises by 25% by 2012, whose cost being calculated on 3,5% of the whole EU GDP.
