The second enlarged meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the neighbouring countries of Iraq was held in Istanbul on 3 November 2007. Officials from neighbouring countries including Iran, Kuwait , Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Syria, Permanent Members of the United Nations Security Council (the United States, France, the United Kingdom, China and Russia), G8 members (Japan, Germany, Italy, Canada), and representatives of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, of the Arab League and of the European Union.
