||Krisztina Nagy, spokesperson of Olli Rehn, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement, (in ENGLISH) saying that the EC strongly condemns the acts of violence of the previous day in the Parliament; this shameful act clearly undermines the recent progress achieved by the country; the EC encourages the authorities to hold accountable those who are responsible for these acts; they are also concerned that secondary victims of this violence were members of the press and it goes without saying that attacks against journalists cannot be tolerated in any democratic society; the EC's main message here is that they expect the dialogue in the Parliament will be conducted in a peaceful and constructive manner
