Javier Solana, Secretary General of the Council of the EU and High Representative for CFSP, met Tabaré Vázquez, President of Uruguay. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the internal developments in Uruguay, the state of Latin American integration, focusing especially on MERCOSUR integration, as well as on EU/MERCOSUR relations. Discussions on climate change, the impact of bio fuels on raw materials and the fight against terrorism were also on the agenda.
