Information and Communication Technologies can provide surprising possibilities for road safety, traffic management, reduction of road traffic's environmental impact, and increase of vehicles' energy efficiency. On 18 September 2007, the European Commission and the European project PReVENT presented in Versailles the results of European ICT research for smarter, safer and greener cars.
