Meglena Kuneva, Member of the EC in charge of Consumer Protection, reacted to the decision of the Libyan High Judicial Council to convert the death sentence of the Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor into a prison term. She said that it was a step in the right direction but that she wants to see them back home in Europe. She also thanked the Members of the European Commission for their efforts and constant work, and explained that this is a good example of what European membership means for Bulgaria.
