Demonstration of the AREV and meeting with EU Ministers for Agriculture and Mariann Fischer Boel
End production: 16/07/2007
Some EU Ministers for Agriculture left the Council for a while to listen to the demands of the AREV, the Assembly of Wine-Producing European Regions. They were demonstrating in front of the European Council to fix the red lines that Ministers should not trespass during the Wine Reform negotiations. Wine producers gave them a document with a resolution where they fix their position: no to the liberalization of planting, no to an extensive uprooting and yes to a viticulture observatory and to the respect of the Diversity of Regional viticulture in Europe.
