50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome: celebration in presence of Beatrix, Queen of the Netherlands, and Jan Peter Balkenende, Dutch Prime Minister

Celebrations as part of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome were held on 22 March 2007 in The Hague. Notable guests included Beatrix, Queen of the Netherlands, Jan Peter Balkenende, Dutch Prime Minister, Neelie Kroes, Member of the EC in charge of Competition, Jaap De Hoop Scheffer, Secretary General of NATO, as well as sports and television stars. Also invited were 210 pupils and students who in one way or another have some link with Europe. The programme included a specially composed musical piece performed by Yonderboi from Hungary and a special catwalk show by designer Aziz.
Only the original language version is authentic and it prevails in the event of its differing from the translated versions.
