Visit of Vytenis Andriukaitis and Christos Stylianides, to Sierra Leone: meetings, Courtesy Call on Ernest Bai Koroma, President of Sierra Leone, and joint press conference

On 14 November 2014, Vytenis Andriukaitis, Member of the EC in charge of Health and Food Safety, and Christos Stylianides, Member of the EC in charge of Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management; EU Coordinator for the Ebola response, travelled to the epicentre of the Ebola crisis, passing by Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone. The purpose of their mission was to see where the needs are greatest, how European assistance is making a difference, how the priorities of the response on the ground are evolving and how Europe can continue to deal with the Ebola challenge in a well-coordinated way. Vytenis Andriukaitis and Christos Stylianides also met with government representatives and members of the humanitarian community leading the international response on the ground. This video shows their meeting with Ernest Bai Koroma, President of Sierra Leone, at the State House in Freetown, and with Alfred Palo Conteh, CEO of the National Ebola Response Centre (NERC) at the NERC. It also shows extracts of their statements and participations to the press conferences they held.
