Visit of José Manuel Barroso and Johannes Hahn to Portugal: meeting with Pedro Passos Coelho, and Miguel Poiares Maduro

On 30 July 2014, José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC in charge of Regional Policy and Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship (pro term), went to Lisbon, Portugal, where they participated in the signing ceremony of the Partnership Agreement with Portugal on using EU Structural and Investment Funds for growth and jobs in 2014-2020. This agreement paved the way for investing €21.46 billion in total Cohesion Policy funding over 2014-2020. Portugal also received €4.06 billion for rural development and €392 million for fisheries and the maritime sector. Prior to the signing ceremony José Manuel Barroso met with Pedro Passos Coelho, Portuguese Prime Minister. They then gave a joint press conference with Miguel Poiares Maduro, Portuguese Minister for Regional Development, and Johannes Hahn. This video shows arrival, handshake and round table.
