Visit of José Manuel Barroso, to Cadarache: visit to the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), and the ITER site

On 11 July 2014, José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, then went to Aix-en-Provence, France, in St-Paul-lez-Durance at Cadarache, one of the ten research centres of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). On this occasion, José Manuel Barroso met with Bernard Bigot, General Administrator of the CEA, and visited the third generation biofuel technology platform "Héliobiotec" and the Jules Horowitz Reactor (RJH), a European boiling water research reactor (BWR). He also visited the construction site of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) together with Osamu Motojima, Director-General of ITER Organization.
