On 9 April 2014, László Andor, Member of the EC in charge of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, proposed the creation of a European Platform to improve cooperation at EU level in order to prevent and deter undeclared work more effectively. Undeclared work is a phenomenon that causes serious damage to working conditions, fair competition and public budgets.
