Visit of Dacian Cioloș to China: 24/07/2013

During his three-day visit to Beijing, China, Dacian Cioloş, Member of the EC in charge of Agriculture and Rural Development, visited Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) where he met with Li Jiayang, President of the CAAS, on 24 July 2013. On this occasion, Dacian Cioloş also met with Wang Yang, Chinese Vice-Premier. The visit aimed to strengthen EU-China cooperation in the areas of agriculture and rural development but also to boost the dialogue on trade aspects related to agricultural products as well as the EU– China organic food equivalency arrangement and the agreement on quality food products.
