Visit of Dacian Cioloș to China: 23/07/2013

During his three-day visit to Beijing, China, Dacian Cioloş, Member of the EC in charge of Agriculture and Rural Development, visited the Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), and the State Administration of Industry and Commerce (SAIC) on 23 July 2013. On this occasion, Dacian Cioloş together with Zhi Shuping, Chinese Minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, signed a letter of intent on fighting counterfeiting in trade in alcoholic beverages. The visit aimed to strengthen EU-China cooperation in the areas of agriculture and rural development but also to boost the dialogue on trade aspects related to agricultural products as well as the EU– China organic food equivalency arrangement and the agreement on quality food products.
