Participation of Viviane Reding in the debate on the Future of Europe, in Marseille
On 14 November 2013, Viviane Reding, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship, and Christiane Taubira, French Minister for Justice, participated in a debate on the Future of Europe with more than 550 citizens in Marseille, France.
The main topics of discussion were the European Banking Union, the meaning of solidarity and the question of how citizens can be encouraged to participate more at European level.
The debate was organised in the framework of the 2013 European Year of Citizens.
