Participation of Siim Kallas and Olli Rehn in the debate on the Future of Europe, in Tallinn
While the debate on the future of Europe and the impact of the economic crisis grows in strength, the European Commission is to meet people in different European cities, to hear their concerns and expectations for the future. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the EU membership referendum in Estonia, Siim Kallas, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Transport, and Olli Rehn, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Economic and Monetary Affairs and the Euro, travelled to Tallinn on 14 September, to participate in the one of the meetings with the citizens of the whole European Union (the Citizens' Dialogues). The debate focused on the current economic situation in Europe and its future shape.
