On 25 June 2013, José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, met with Ali Larayedh, Head of the Tunisian Government, in Brussels. They discussed Tunisia's democratic political process, especially constitutional and elections, as well as its challenges - in particular with regard to regional development, economic recovery and security. Following their meeting, the officials held a press conference.
