Ladislav Balko, Member of the European Court of Auditors, presented the European Court of Auditors’ Special Report No 2/2013 entitled “Has the Commission ensured efficient implementation of the seventh framework programme for research?” at a press conference in Brussels on 7 June 2013. The Court concluded that the researchers who contact the EU to obtain financing continue to be faced with an excessive administrative burden, and has made recommendations to the Commission.
