Visit of Tonio Borg to Shanghai: 05/06/2013

On 5 June 2013, Tonio Borg, Member of the EC in charge of Health and Consumer Policy, was in visit in China. During his stay, Tonio Borg went to Shanghai where he visited the Chinese Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in charge of the protection of consumers. He also visited the laboratory that is used to check whether the toys made in China, but for the European market comply with the essential requirements of the European directives. He then visited the laboratory responsible for the control of alcohol and cosmetics.
