EU/Turkey Association Council, 51st meeting: round table

The EU/Turkey Association Council held its 51st meeting on 27 May 2013 in Brussels. The meeting was chaired by Ahmet Davutoğlu, Turkish Minister for Foreign Affairs. Eamon Gilmore, Irish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, and President in office of the Council of the EU, led the European Union delegation. Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, represented the European Commission. The meeting focused on how to strengthen momentum in the relations with the aim to open new chapters in the accession negotiations with Turkey.
