Participation of Androulla Vassiliou at the ministerial meeting of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Culture of South East Europe

On 9 April 2013, Androulla Vassiliou, Member of the EC in charge of Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, attended the ministerial meeting of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Culture of South East Europe in Kranj, Slovenia. The meeting focused on the importance of culture and arts education in human development and as a priority for cooperation for the EU and countries of South East Europe. The Ministers also focused on how to build on existing culture and cultural heritage initiatives in the region, which is home to around 60 sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
