Social Innovation

26 516 views

For several years now, the EU has been promoting the innovation and modernisation of Member States’ social policies through peer-review, mutual learning, communication, and transfer of best practices. Under the Communication on a European Platform against poverty and social exclusion and the Innovation Union, there is an increased emphasis on social innovation in the context of the Europe 2020 Strategy. The clip shows three innovative examples of projects and their results on the ground, through images and testimonies of the projects’ representatives and stakeholders. They are: Discovering Hands, in Germany; Rainbow Books in Hungary and Work in Stations in Belgium. The angle is to highlight these projects as source of inspiration for the other Member States.
