Meeting between François Hollande, President of the French Republic, and José Manuel Barroso

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, went to Paris where he met with François Hollande, President of the French Republic. The two Presidents exchanged their views on major European issues, including negotiations on the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2014-2020 for the EU, as well as the economic situation.
José Manuel Barroso also stressed the essential nature of future investments in Research and Innovation and financing of major pan-European networks aimed at "Connecting Europe", as well as the added value of common policies and cohesion policy.
