Visit of Máire Geoghegan-Quinn to South Africa: 05/11/2012

Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, Member of the EC in charge of Research, Innovation and Science, travelled to South Africa in November 2012.On 5 November, she held a working breakfast with Ministers and officials from South Africa and other African nations. Among them were Derek Hanekom, South African Minister for Science and Technology, and Aaron Motsoaledi, South African Minister for Health.The meeting was held at the International Convention Centre in Cape Town. Máire Geoghegan-Quinn's visit celebrated 15 years of the South Africa/EU science and technology cooperation agreement.
