Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the EU Customs Union

To give insight into the versatile challenges and tasks of the Customs Union, the European Commission organises a series of events and activities within the Customs Action Week. The visit of three European locations will offer the opportunity to watch customs in action first hand: the Port of Rotterdam, Frankfurt airport and a car check station at the Hungarian border of Röszke. The European Commissioner for Taxation and Customs Union, László Kovács, present at all three locations and gives interviews on topical aspects of EU Custom’s policy as well as the role of customs authorities today and in the future.
