Going green: EU gears up for Rio+20 conference (long version)

India treats 800 000 tonnes of electronic waste every year and 90% of this recycling takes place in the informal sector. To combat the social, economic and environmental effects of this illegal activity, this organisation is committed to the improvement of India’s e-waste management. It is co-financed by the European Union, as are 47 similar projects all over Asia.
