Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, took part in the high-level conference "Engaging youth - Palestine Refugees in the changing Middle East" organized by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in cooperation with the EU and the Belgian Government on 19 March 2012 in Brussels.Catherine Ashton, Riyad al-Maliki, Palestinian Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Nabil Elaraby, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, delivered speeches.The conference highlighted the need to respond to the concerns of youth and stressed the urgency of creating opportunities for the younger generation of Palestine refugees.
