Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of Indonesia, visited on 14/12/2009 José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC. The conversation was focused on the Climate change Conference which is taking place in Copenhagen and the close position that the EU and Indonesia have on the targets which need to be achieved to stop climate change. They also spoke about the bilateral relations between the EU and Indonesia, including aviation safety, EU aid for education, partnership signatures, Human Rights dialogue and Trade. On the Climate change Conference, Barroso informed about the agreement reached by the EU last Friday on the financing for the developing countries. Indonesian President welcome this agreement and spoke about Indonesian target of reducing emissions by 26% by 2020, which can be shown as an example in Copenhagen for other developing countries. Indonesia's role was decisive for Asiatic and developing countries to present a Bali Action plan in Copenhagen, which included a legally binding instrument by 2010.
