Informing consumers

Fish, molluscs, and crustaceans are a healthy source of dietary protein. However, consumers want more complete and understandable information about these products, more than 65% of which are currently imported. Consumers want to know where their fish comes from, how it was fished or farmed, and with what impacts on the resource and the environment. For this, it must be possible to follow the fish along the entire consumption chain, from the fishing net to the fishmonger's stall. But what is the best way to organise the traceability of fisheries products, whether imported or not?
