World Trade III: History - Institutions

On the occasion of the WTO Ministerial Summit in Singapore from 9th to 13th November 1996, the Audiovisual Production Unit of the European Commission has prepared a video dossier entitled "World Trade : Institutional - History". Historical background: Kennedy Round 1964-1967, Uruguay Round 1990-1994, birth of the WTO, 1/01/1995. Presentation of the WTO in Geneva and of the general Council of the WTO of June 1996, as well as of the financial organisations: the World Bank in Washington DC, the IMF in Washington DC, the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington DC, the seat of International Labour Office in Geneva. The relations between the EU and: Asia, Africa, Latin America, the CIS and Mongolia are present within the framework of the signing of the cooperation Agreements.
