EU/Montenegro Accession Conference: extracts from the common press conference by Nicolai Wammen, Štefan Füle and Milan Roćen

On 29 June 2012, the Negotiations with Montenegro on its accession to the European Union were opened at the first meeting of the Accession Conference at ministerial level. This followed a decision by the General Affairs Council on 26 June to open the talks, as endorsed by the European Council. The EU Delegation was headed by Nicolai Wammen, Danish Minister for European Affairs, and the European Commission was represented by Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy. The Montenegrin delegation was led by Milan Roćen, Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
